Francesca Ciccone - Mind, Body and Soul

As part of our Earth Month series, The Connection Between Fitness, Wellness & Outdoor Spaces, we’re highlighting Life Time team members who find renewal and purpose in the outdoors.

As a personal trainer, nutrition coach, and group fitness performer at Life Time Northshore, Francesca Ciccone lives by the philosophy that true wellness is more than a workout—it’s a mind, body, and soul connection. And for her, nature is where that connection comes to life.

Spending time in nature has been one of the most grounding and healing aspects of my wellness journey. It clears my mind, resets my nervous system, and even sparks creative energy for my coaching.

During the pandemic, as life moved indoors, Francesca realized just how powerful outdoor movement could be. She began jump roping in her yard, exploring nearby parks on foot, and even purchased her first mountain bike—each step a way to stay active, reconnect with nature, and reclaim a sense of balance.

Today, one of Francesca’s favorite places is Breakheart Reservation—a local park where she walks every Sunday, no matter the season. Whether she’s meditating or grounding with her feet in the sand, it’s a space where she reconnects deeply with her mind, body, soul, and spirit.

Having access to green spaces is essential for any community, and it provides a way for others to stay active and move their bodies, connect and de-stress both with themselves and with others.

To Francesca, access to nature is essential for both individual well-being and community health. In a world that’s becoming increasingly digital, she stresses the importance to protect the spaces that allow us to connect to our roots.

Her story is a reminder that healing is all around us—and it starts by stepping outside.
